Supportive family capacity-building is delivered directly to individual families with the goal of improving carer/child relationships, increasing parenting capacity and family connectedness, and improving the wellbeing and safety of family members. We work with families through home visits, advocacy, referrals, education and skill development to help parents achieve their desired outcomes. We work with a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach recognising that individuals are central in creating their own solutions whilst acknowledging that barriers may be in place due to previous experiences and current circumstances. Our focus is to define the changes the parent wants made and what is required to make these changes happen.
Parenting programs are for anyone who wants to be a better parent.
Supported playgroups are an opportunity for parents and carers to share the experience of parenting and learn new parenting skills while being supported by our Family Workers. Supported playgroups provide children with an opportunity to socialise, play, and learn in a structured and positive environment. Come and join us and other families to learn together.
