Maitland Family Support Inc. proudly celebrates NAIDOC Week 2025 and its milestone 50th year.

This year’s theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy”, invites us to reflect on the powerful legacy of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and to invest in a future led by the next generation of First Nations leaders. We acknowledge the enduring strength, wisdom and cultural knowledge passed through generations, and we commit to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and communities in achieving their vision for the future. Maitland Family Support Inc. remains dedicated to walking alongside First Nations peoples in respect, partnership and truth – not just during NAIDOC Week, but every day.

We invite the community to join us in celebrating support at our events:
  • Tuesday 8 July – FIL NAIDOC Celebration, 12 noon – contribute to our community jigsaw
  • Friday 11 July – Mindaribba NAIDOC Family Fun Day, 10am–2pm at Harold Gregson Park, Maitland
  • Friday 18 July – Cultural visit to Murrook Cultural Centre – transport provided, registration essential on 4914 0444

Together, let’s honour the strength of the past, support the voices of today, and uplift the legacy of future generations.
